Everyone here in the Intrigued family would like to extend a hearty Merry Christmas to each and all! We have had a wonderful year here and that is entirely due to all our wonderful readers.

Hit the jump for some more merry good cheer!
For the second year in a row, we have successfully made it through the annual office party without additions to our prohibitive harassment training. Clearly putting Brad in charge of that was the smartest decision I’ve made in a long time. There was an unexpected “incident” near the end this year requiring an ambulance, but that has all turned out fine (quite the relief and nothing to do with Brad). The staff are home now enjoying the holidays with their families/friends and I’ll but turning off the lights in the headquarters as soon as I hit submit on this annual Christmas post.

We will officially fire up the Intrigued engine with the new calendar year. There might be some quick posts just to tidy up a bit before the year end, but for the most part, it will be pretty quiet. We will definitely respond to any missed comments as soon as we return.

Linda and I, along with Brad and his family (his top-notch editors/photographers Jan and Allyson) and the rest of our divisions wish you a blessed holiday, safe travels, merry gatherings and fingers crossed, Santa brings gives you everything you ask for and more.

“Wait, did you say Santa was coming TONIGHT!?!?!?!?”

What is wrong Ruger?
“Raven says I’m only getting lumps of coal because Santa hates silver dogs and I didn’t give my brothers enough back rubs”

RAVEN, we have had this discussion too many times – stop tormenting and lying to your brothers..Santa sees everything you do as well!
“Who me…crazy talk – that’s his puppy brain on the fritz again”

Did Raven lie to you too Benji?
“He said if I didn’t let him sleep in my bed he’d rip up my letter to Santa”

Raven, get over here now! Does every family have a problem child?
“Yes, Ruger, I think Santa will bring you a new ball, now off to bed before he passes over our house because he sees you are still up.”

Take it easy everyone and a big thanks again for all our readers and the many kind words we have received this year – it’s what keeps our spirits up and drives us to get out in the field to bring back more adventures to share. For those traveling, please be safe, for those able to spend the holidays with your family and friends, cherish the memories and most of all, don’t let the constant negativity that is permeating the click-bait media get you down. Turn the TV off, put down the phones and enjoy the company of the ones you are with.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The Intrigued Family

Merry Christmas. Thanks for letting us work for Intrigued. Great photos of the boys. Surprised they sat still long enough for a photo.

Intrigued is privileged to have you and your family on board – can’t wait to post all your new adventures. Given the choice to run an ultra with a bad back or help Linda get the annual puppy shots…I’ll take the run absolutely every time.

You need to show Ruger Silver crowned as the Cat of Cats. Silver dogs should be crowned the Dog of Dogs. Beautiful family photos. You are all looking fit and feisty, ready to start your 2024 bird count. Merry Christmas!

Oh great, Ruger already had an over-inflated ego and now he’s walking around with the tablecloth as a cape holding a wooden spoon while proclaiming his brothers as serfs. Didn’t know the attitude came along free with this New York puppy. Still have a couple of hopeful ticks to get on the way south before calling it a year, but I do appreciate how much easier/funner it is to bird early in the year vs the stress of the last month or so. Take care, extend our holiday wishes to the family and kitties (Linda says not the snake though).

Getting off to a rough start as Linda has caught the flu, but hoping that passes quickly and we can start enjoying the trip – there’s still a few birds I’d like to get before the new year and time’s a wasting ha. Have fun back on SPI!

Oh, gosh, well help her cuddle up with a quilt and the doggies and some hot spiced rum (or equivalent). Hope it passes quickly. And, hey, you’re retired, so you can take a few extra days to relax and enjoy to journey.

Will do, the pups are already draped over her to help get her better. We do have plenty of room in the schedule so this shouldn’t be a problem – well, beyond the fact the new year is coming quicker and I have a date with a bird in Waco.

Excellent photos. Brian, Linda, Brad (and your family)…plus all the baby doggies…Merry Christmas from Hillsborough, NC.

Thank you Vic! Those baby doggies almost lost all their Santa presents with the fight they put up getting those shots in the tin. For show puppies, they absolutely hate sitting still for two seconds to get a shot. Stay safe out there.

Thank you Jet! All things considered, with the exception of some dings, things are going well around Intrigued. Thankfully the pups made it through Christmas without too much ruckus – there’s a lot of “That’s mine!” that happens during the unwrapping phase, but each found their favorite toy(s) and went to their respective corners ha. Take care and can’t wait to read about all your adventures in 2024.

Thank you Cheryl! Pups are gonna pup, especially during the unwrapping phase – luckily Ruger got his new ball so he was content. FYI, am having a lot of troubles commenting on your site, but hopefully that will straighten itself out here pretty soon. On the road now, but hopefully the new computer that awaits me at home will solve all the problems I having with a number of wordpress sites.. Take care and happy New Year.
